Why does Norton anti-virus say OutLook OnLine is dangerous?

[Technical/Bug] Libraries or patrons with Norton anti-virus software installed may receive a warning saying that Auto-Graphics sites <auto-graphics.com> including OutLook OnLine are dangerous to visit!

Auto-Graphics has contacted Norton about the issue and Norton has replied that it's caused by a recent update to their Chrome add-on extension toolbar. Norton recommends disabling just the extension and then Norton anti-virus will continue to work and protect your device/computer.

To disable the extension:

  1. While in Chrome, copy and paste the chrome://extensions/ link into a new tab OR click on the 3 dots in the right-hand top corner of Chrome AND choose "More Tools" then "Extensions".
  2. Locate the Norton anti-virus add-on extension. May be called "Norton Homepage for Chrome", "Norton Security", "Norton Safe Web" or "Norton Safe Search" or similar. We recommend disabling all Chrome extensions related to Norton anti-virus at this time.
